New Biogas Plants
We completed the Earthworks and Civils elements of a new Biogas Generating Plant in Somerset. We undertook the detailed Earthworks and site layout design and constructed the scheme using GPS machine control.
Our contract included the construction of a 2500 square meter silage clamp, service yards, generator base, gas filter base, digestate tank bases, building works, all associated ducting and pipework installation and of course subsequent backfilling and landscaping.
We also completed 11kv and significant 33kv power supply cabling to enable connection to the National Power Grid. Some 10 000 cubic meters of excavated material were generated by the works.
We used all of this material on site forming landscaped bunds and slopes to blend the new plant in to the surroundings. This was achieved using Digital Terrain Modelling to balance the cut and fill volumes prior to starting excavation.
